Scammers and spammers may try to message you on this forum or other places on the internet in general. Just keep in mind to never give out personal or financial info to anyone on the internet. Even if you think you may have met the account you are talking with in person, the account could have been taken over by a malicious party or be a duplicate account. (Spammers create new accounts almost every day even on this small forum.) Keep in mind that officers and other members will NEVER ask for your credit card or bank details on the forum. How to Avoid a Scam The Federal Trade Commission published a guide on best practices on how to avoid a scam. It is well worth the read.
